Mansion bed offers in Tagaytay Cavite - It's not your usual bed

TAGAYTAY CITY, CAVITE-- Georgin Gil Lacuna first got into putting together jigsaw puzzles for her son about 30 years ago.

Her choices have then expanded from simple cartoon characters to paintings of world-renowned artists and even 3D puzzles, all of which were purchased from souvenir shops abroad.

Gina has constructed over 300 jigsaw puzzles of different forms and designs since then.

Her puzzle collection – and she hasn't stopped collecting yet -  was the inspiration, and also the main attraction behind the Puzzle Mansion Bed and Breakfast in Tagaytay.

This new tourist destination has its backdrop set over more than a hectare of grass and colorful flowers that grow abundant in the city's cool climate.

The place was initially intended as a rest house for Gina's family and a place where she can display her puzzles.

“Since the place was is quite big, we decided to turn it into a bed and breakfast instead. Also because those who wanted to see the puzzles often want to stay overnight,” she says.

Art enthusiasts would have a field day at the Puzzle Room with its wide array of paintings—in puzzle form, of course—whose originals can only be found in world-famous galleries like the State Hermitage in Russia and the Louvre in Paris.

Rooms are named after flowers that are known to bloom in Tagaytay, such as lilac, cosmos, water lily, tulip and sunflower, to name a few.

Their amenities include a spa, an infinity pool, a 24-hour café, a 400-square-meter function hall and free WiFi for those who may want squeeze in some work while on vacation.

Puzzle Mansion also serves traditional “heirloom” of Gina's family, using vegetables and herbs grown in their own garden.

With the Puzzle Room in place, Gina hopes to add a unique spin to their bed and breaskfast business without losing that homey ambiance.
