Palawan, Cebu Named as Best Islands in the World 2018 by Travel + Leisure Magazine

Two of the Philippines’ best islands are among the world’s best, again! Palawan and Cebu made it to the 2018 World Best Islands list by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Palawan and Cebu islands did it again this year. Proud that we have these paradise in our country.

Meanwhile, Boracay, which was number 3 in the 2017 poll and number 2 in 2016, is nowhere to be found! This just goes to show how Boracay, once described as a paradise, has lost its appeal to many international travelers due to overcrowding, mismanagement and pollution.

Have you ever tried to eat like a royal? Try Pepper Lunch Japanese restaurant and satisfy your craving.

Eat in a very hot plate with their best sellers food. I can say that it is very Swak sa budget on what you order. Though, it is not like other fast food chains na medyo below 100 pesos ang price nila is more or less 200 pesos pero di jud ka magmahay.

Remember: It is not about the price but sa kalamion sa food.

A Taste of Santorini - Dakong Bato Beach Resort in Dalaguete, Cebu

Dalaguete, Cebu now offers you a taste of Santorini, Greece, the Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure resort. Dakong Bato resort will captivate your heart because of its great ambiance, scenery and elegant look.

If you are planning for a getaway this summer, then you may include Dakong Bato resort in your bucketlist. Pretty sure you will love and will be amazed by the area. Dakong Bato beach and leisure resort is located at Natalio B.Bacalso S National Hwy, Dalaguete, 6022 Cebu.

It was my first time going to this resort but I have heard and read several stories and reviews about them. Most of internet users' review are good and probably 80 - 90% positive feedbacks. So I was given a chance to get there with my friends last Sunday (March 18) and I was amazed and I can say that it is really a great place. My first impressions for this resort are clean and elegant.

How to get there?
It is very simple to get to Dakong Bato resort. Just ride a Ceres bus in South Bus Terminal via Oslob. Tell the conductor or a driver that you are bound to this resort. That's it.

Amenities:
Two swimming pools
Crystal clear water
Restaurant
Cafe
Rooms for rent
Videoke
Cottages
etc.

How much is the entrance fee and cottage rates?
Their entrance fee is 150 Pesos for adult (it includes corkage fee) and 100 pesos for children above 2yrs old. The cottage price is 300 Pesos (maybe more or less 10 pax) and 500 Pesos good for 20 persons.

Take a look some pics for a glimpse of the resort's views.

Isla dela Victoria - Cebu Integrated Resort in SRP, Cebu will Soon Rise

Cebu Integrated Resort - Isla dela Victoria will soon rise in SRP, Cebu as John Gokongwei will invest to make a dream come true resort for Cebuano.

John Gokongwei, who is not just a self-made billionaire but also a fellow Cebuano, has agreed to invest 18 Billion pesos into a 80,000 square meter world-class integrated development that includes restaurants, bars, a mall, convention center, casino, park, theatre, and no less than 3 hotels.

All of this at no cost to the City. In fact, in exchange for a 50 year lease of the land, the City will own 10% of all profits made for the entire duration. After this, when the lease expires, the Cebuanos will own not just 10%, but EVERYTHING on the property.

The 18B being spent is not going to the government, it is going to the economy of Cebu. This is 18 Billion that goes to the construction workers, suppliers, security guards, truck drivers, electricians, and carpenters who will make the pictures you see here become reality. And after it’s done, there will be 5,000 new jobs waiting for the Cebuanos.

This development will be called Isla dela Victoria, named after Jojo dela Victoria, a Cebuano who died protecting our waters from dynamite fishermen. Isla dela Victoria will put the spotlight on the SRP. It will be accessible by sea taxi directly from Mactan Airport. It will be the hub for the ferries and cruise ships that will come, and for the seaplane airline that is already there. It will be the shining beacon of the Visayas.

Unlike a land sale, this not a one time deal. We will get 10% for 50 years. And after that, long after I’m gone, the Cebuanos will OWN everything. We built the SRP for only 2,000 per square meter. Today, it stands at 100,000 plus. Imagine the property value of the SRP after another 50 years of development. One day, perhaps even less than 50 years from now, we will be able to afford to put every Cebuano through college.

From Cebu City, this should be about 4 hours travel by bus but don’t be surprised to get there in 5 or more given the traffic conditions can vary quite a lot these days.
