Sea of Clouds at Mt. Kanlahing Peak is one of Cebu’s newest and most photogenic sunrise spots. It’s located in Brgy. Nug-as, Alcoy — about 93 km south of Cebu City. Locals call it “Little Baguio in the South” because of the cool air, pine trees, and foggy mornings.

How to get there from Cebu City

By public transport:

1. Cebu City → Alcoy Poblacion: Ceres bus from South Bus Terminal. ∼2.5 hrs, ₱100-150 one way. 2. Alcoy Poblacion → Brgy. Nug-as/Kanlahing Peak: Habal-habal (motorbike taxi). Roads are steep and partly under construction, so motorcycles are best. ∼45 min ride.

By car/motorcycle: Navigate to “Kanlahing Peak Sea of Clouds” on Waze/Google Maps. Car is possible but not ideal due to road construction. Motorcycle takes ∼2.5 hrs from Cebu City.

Tips from recent visitors

• No entrance fee.

• Bring jackets — it gets cold and foggy before sunrise.

• Timing is everything: Commenters say “Timing timing ra jud diay sa clouds”. Aim to be at the peak 4:30-5:00 AM.

• Ask locals if lost.

• It gets crowded: Popular on weekends and holidays, especially for sunrise.
