MAGNITUDE 7.4 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES SOUTHERN MEXICO; TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED ⚠️


WORLD BREAKING NEWS: A strong Magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck near Puerto Madero in southern Mexico on Friday, July 17, prompting tsunami threat warnings for parts of the Pacific coastline.


According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, making the shaking more intense across nearby regions.


The US Tsunami Warning System warned that hazardous tsunami waves could affect coastlines within 300 kilometers of the earthquake's epicenter.


The tremor was also felt in neighboring countries, with buildings shaking in Guatemala City and parts of El Salvador, according to reports.


Authorities are currently monitoring the situation, while there are no immediate reports of major damage or casualties as of this writing.
