NDRRMC Advised to be Prepared as Strong Typhoon Betty Threatens Philippines Anew

Typhoon Betty "Bavi" getting stronger as it moves closer to the Philippines - March 17, 2015. Betty threatens to hit central and northern Philippines this weekend (March 20 - 22, 2015). According to PAG-ASA that typhoon Betty is likely to hit Visayas, Luzon since the high pressure area's presence is still there and not weakening.


NDRRMC advised the LGU's to be prepared if ever this typhoon will hit land. Typhoon Betty has a maximum sustain wind of 85kph and gustiness upto 100kph but may rise-up because it is still in the water.

Although it is not as strong as super typhoon Yolanda that battered Visayas last 2013, all citizens are still advised to take necessary precautions and prepare for the possible landfall of typhoon Betty.
