Chasing waterfalls and this time TUMALOG FALLS will be on your adventure list. It is one of the most beautiful and amazing falls in Cebu south.
Getting to Tumalog Falls is relatively easy, and here are your options:
By Car:
Drive south from Cebu City via Natalio Bacalso Avenue toward Oslob. Once you reach the whale shark area, continue for a few more minutes until you see the Tumalog Falls sign and uphill access road on the left side. Follow the paved road to the registration area, where you can park and ride a motorcycle down or drive carefully downhill if allowed.
*By Commute:*
- From Cebu City: Take a southbound bus at the South Bus Terminal bound for Oslob or Santander. Tell the driver to drop you at the Tumalog Falls jump-off point in Barangay Luka. From there, hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you down to the falls entrance. The trip takes around 3-4 hours depending on traffic.
- From Oslob Town: Take a tricycle or habal-habal directly to the turn-off. The trip takes about 10-15 minutes.
- From Moalboal: Ride a bus or van to Bato Terminal (via Barili route), then transfer to a bus heading north to Oslob or Cebu City. Ask to be dropped at the Tumalog Falls junction. Total travel time is about 3-3.5 hours.
Private Transfer or Tours:
You can also book a private van or car for a more comfortable and flexible trip. Many visitors join day tours from Cebu City or Moalboal that combine whale shark watching and Tumalog Falls. These tours usually include round-trip transfers, entrance fees, and meals ¹.
TIPS
- The access road to Tumalog Falls is steep, so consider taking a habal-habal ride (₱50 per person round-trip) instead of walking.
- Wear footwear with good grip, and bring waterproof protection for your gadgets.
- Bring small bills and exact change, as the entrance fee is ₱50 per person, and parking may have separate fees ².
