PRAY FOR VENEZUELA 🙏🇻🇪
Twin earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and magnitude 7.5 caused widespread damage, particularly in the capital Caracas and several nearby areas in Venezuela, followed by a stronger magnitude 7.5 earthquake on Wednesday, June 24 at around 6:04 AM and 6:05 AM, or Thursday, June 25, in the Philippines.
The USGS also warned that the death toll could exceed 10,000 while thousands were injured and rescuers are continuing operations to save those trapped in the rubble.
Since it was a holiday that day, many people were indoors, so the death toll is expected to be higher.
These twin earthquakes are among the most powerful earthquakes to hit Venezuela in more than a century.
