VERY SAD EVENT
IT'S SAD. A CHILD DIED.
According to the complaint of the Public Attorney's Office - PAO, the Sindangan District Hospital is responsible for the death of a child.
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to the PAO verified complaint:
1. The hospital allegedly neglected - According to the PAO: _"There seems to be negligence on the part of the hospital, particularly its attending medical personnel — the doctor and the nurse"_
2. The child was not given proper treatment - The hospital allegedly allowed the nurse to administer anti-rabies vaccine without the presence of a licensed physician and without proper medical history-taking
3. The cause of death: _"acute laryngospasm due to rabies encephalopathy from rabies infection"
WHAT IS BEING DONE NOW?
1. The PAO filed a case* against the Hospital Chief and the Nurse
2. The family is asking for P4.3 Million* for actual damages and loss of earning capacity
3. There is also a separate criminal case* being filed by government prosecutors
*APPEAL:
